1Quick Start
SoulAI is built on the principle of "no barriers, just chat". Open the URL, pick a companion you like, and your first conversation begins instantly.
1.1 Jump straight in
- Visit the SoulAI entry and tap any "Try Now" button.
- Browse the character cards and tap "Start chatting" on a companion you like.
- Type anything you want to say—your AI will respond in their unique persona.
1.2 Create an account (optional)
If you want to keep conversations and memories long-term and sync across devices, link a phone number or email. Sign-up takes less than 30 seconds.
Tip: Without an account, conversations are kept for up to 7 days. After signing up, all history migrates automatically to the cloud.
2Picking an AI Companion
SoulAI hosts 1,280+ companions across "Healing", "Cool", "Classical", "Campus", "Sci-fi", "Mystery", "Counseling" and more.
2.1 Browse the gallery
- Tap "Companions" in the navigation bar to see the full list.
- Use filters at the top by style, gender, language and voice type.
- Each card shows the avatar, personality tags, signature scenes and a voice preview.
2.2 Favorite & pin
Long-press a card or tap the "♥" icon in the top right to favorite. Favorited companions appear at the top of the home screen for quick access.
3Conversation Tips
3.1 Multimodal messages
- Text: Partial Markdown is supported. Enter for newline / Shift + Enter to send.
- Images: Tap the camera icon to send a photo—the AI replies based on what it sees.
- Voice: Hold the microphone to send a voice message and switch to a real-sounding AI voice reply with one tap.
3.2 Help your AI know you better
On your first chat, drop simple cues like "Call me Mei" or "Don't comfort me—just listen." The AI will write these straight into your private memory store.
4Studio
Studio lets anyone craft a virtual companion that's truly their own in just five minutes.
4.1 Quick creation
- Open Studio → New Character.
- Fill in name, look, personality, catchphrase and backstory.
- Pick a voice, conversation style and opening line; preview and save.
4.2 Advanced persona
Advanced fields like "Relationship template", "Worldview", "Memory anchors" and "Forbidden topics" keep your AI's persona stable across long conversations.
5Memory Manager
SoulAI's long-term conversation memory engine extracts key events and emotions automatically, so your AI feels like an old friend.
- Free users: each character keeps 90 days of memory; older entries roll off automatically.
- Members: memories are kept indefinitely and can be archived as "Important Memories" by hand.
- Every memory is editable, deletable and wipeable from "Character → Memory Manager".
6Cross-device Sync
H5, PWA and native apps for iOS / Android sync through the cloud. Sign in on any device and conversations, favorites and custom companions sync within one second.
On iPhone, add SoulAI to your Home Screen (Safari → Share → Add to Home Screen) for a near-native, full-screen experience.

8Security & Settings
8.1 Privacy settings
- "Settings → Privacy" toggles options like "Hide from community" and "Don't train on my chats".
- End-to-end encrypted conversation backups are supported—only you hold the recovery key.
8.2 Teen Protection
Once enabled, adult-oriented characters and storylines are blocked, and parents can set daily usage limits.
8.3 Account deletion
Open "Settings → Account → Delete account" to start the process. After a 7-day cooling-off period, all cloud data is irreversibly removed.
